About Our Expertise
In New Zealand’s outdoor photography, the biggest variable—and challenge for photographers—is the “weather.”
Weather encompasses not just the current conditions, but also the ever-changing sunlight and wind speeds. While we can’t guarantee every couple will have a perfect climate for their shoot, we leverage our extensive experience with New Zealand’s weather to find the best shooting locations based on the day’s conditions.
Clear, sunny skies aren’t always ideal. While some sunlight enhances the vibrancy of landscapes, excessive brightness can create harsh contrasts and discomfort for the couple during the shoot. Conversely, rainy days can be great for capturing softer, more natural emotions. The golden moments right after a rain shower can yield stunning images.
Our understanding of New Zealand’s climate comes from working with nearly a hundred couples each year. We encourage our clients to maintain a positive mindset regardless of the weather. By focusing on each other and embracing the moment, you can capture beautiful memories that reflect your unique love story in New Zealand.
My Style & Photography
I started exploring photography with a DSLR during my university years, capturing unforgettable moments and experiences.
Not long after entering the wedding photography field, I became part of the Shark team. This experience has profoundly influenced my approach to photography—whether it’s controlling lighting on location, thinking through compositions, or shaping the final edits.
I excel at capturing natural details and heartfelt emotions. In wedding shoots, I love grand landscapes, but I’m particularly drawn to the intimate details of love. This is the style that resonates with me.
I hope it’s a style that resonates with you as well.
